Cranbrook Kent is a pretty medieval market town with many buildings dating from the 15 century. It was once the centre of the regions cloth industry and its most famous landmark is the Union Windmill one of the finest of its kind in the country.
Cranbrook Union Mill was built in 1814 and is the tallest smock mill in England. The mill stands at the highest point of the town and can still produce flour gifts for visitors.
The Mill is an eight sided three storey brick base and four storey fixed wooden tower clad in white painted weatherboard. The mill underwent major renovations in 2002/03 and is now in full working order. Visit web site

Cranbrook high street is lined with half and full clad timbered buildings. There are small specialist shops to browse around and some interesting restaurants, bars and cafés to relax in.
There is plenty of Free parking next to the local supermarket just off the high street. From the car park you can see the union mill and only takes a five minute walk.
