The Keepers House
Keepers House is a charming self catering cottage within the grounds of historic Leeds Castle, surrounded by 500 acres of parkland. This luxury self-catering holiday cottage is available throughout the year. Newly refurbished and redecorated with antiques and designer furnishings, it provides all modern facilities whilst retaining its original
charm. The cottage has been awarded a 4-star quality rating by Enjoy England, the official tourism body for England.
Formerly the Gamekeeper's House and dating back several hundred years, Keepers House is located in a secluded position overlooking the weir pond, rich in wildlife and waterfowl. Equipped for 10 adults,
the cottage provides flexible sleeping accommodation in five bedrooms and has two bathrooms, one with a walk in shower and separate WC. Many original features remain and the kitchen boasts an Aga as well as a conventional cooker. One of the double bedrooms has a king-sized carved mahogany bed and another is furnished with an antique French walnut bed.
Guests receive free visitor year passes giving them unlimited access to Leeds Castle and grounds, with its spectacular architecture and elegant interiors, beautiful gardens, aviary and falconry displays as well as a quirky dog collar museum, maze and grotto and Knights' Realm playground. A pay and play 9-hole golf course is also available on site. A free pass to the nearby Ramada Hotel Health Club including swimming pool and tennis courts is also provided.
Guests staying on the estate get the run of the grounds after the day visitors have departed. Looking across the moat to the floodlit castle as you enjoy a leisurely evening stroll, it's tempting to imagine the country estate is exclusively yours. For further details please visit our website.
